Narrative:

After landing, we were taxiing to the hangar. We noticed another pilot had taken his airplane out of the hangar with the nose facing south on the ramp. We were going to have to taxi north on the ramp and realized the clearance would be close as we passed the parked airplane. The owner of the parked airplane stood near his wingtip to direct us by, but we both misjudged and the right wingtip of both airplanes collided causing minor damage to each. Due to the minimum propeller clearance on the mooney, I was reluctant to taxi off the ramp onto the grass to give further clearance to get around the parked airplane. In the future, if it looks like the clearance will be minimal, it would be best just to stop and ground handle the airplane past the obstacle.
