Narrative:

Today I received a call from my chief pilot's office. Apparently I (and several other pilots) had recently flown without a pilot's reference manual on board. The matter was voluntarily disclosed to the FAA. The FAA wanted each affected pilot to be verbally informed to exercise close scrutiny of all required manuals.
