Narrative:
Turning downwind to base in traffic pattern for runway 14 lou (bowman field), the aircraft engine quit. Checked fuel on, mixture rich, carburetor heat in, magnetos on, with no restart. Unable to reach airport, elected to land on adjacent golf course fairway. No damage to aircraft. Suspect fuel contamination.

Narrative: TURNING DOWNWIND TO BASE IN TFC PATTERN FOR RWY 14 LOU (BOWMAN FIELD), THE ACFT ENG QUIT. CHKED FUEL ON, MIXTURE RICH, CARB HEAT IN, MAGNETOS ON, WITH NO RESTART. UNABLE TO REACH ARPT, ELECTED TO LAND ON ADJACENT GOLF COURSE FAIRWAY. NO DAMAGE TO ACFT. SUSPECT FUEL CONTAMINATION.
