Narrative:

We were cruising at FL270 when ATC told us to cross gqo at FL240. We read back the crossing restr and programmed it into the uns-im. It will show a GS at top of descent in order to make the restr, but you must manually descend it yourself or with autoplt. We had crossed gqo and were still at FL270. ATC asked us if we would make restr. We said yes, then soon realized we had already crossed it. We immediately answered back that we were sorry and we wouldn't make that restr but that we would immediately descend to FL240 as soon as possible. He said ok, but that he may need us to do 360 degrees. He gave us a heading and we continued with a normal descent and no 360 degrees. Poor monitoring of uns-im and not paying attention to flying airplane. I just got out of recurrent on hawker and it will ding and do it for you. My attention needs to be focused on plane at hand and not get complacent with common occurrences, just because plane is limited.

Title: FLC OF A CESSNA 550 FAILED TO DSND OUT OF CRUISE FLT IN TIME TO MAKE XING RESTR ALT.

Narrative: WE WERE CRUISING AT FL270 WHEN ATC TOLD US TO CROSS GQO AT FL240. WE READ BACK THE XING RESTR AND PROGRAMMED IT INTO THE UNS-IM. IT WILL SHOW A GS AT TOP OF DSCNT IN ORDER TO MAKE THE RESTR, BUT YOU MUST MANUALLY DSND IT YOURSELF OR WITH AUTOPLT. WE HAD CROSSED GQO AND WERE STILL AT FL270. ATC ASKED US IF WE WOULD MAKE RESTR. WE SAID YES, THEN SOON REALIZED WE HAD ALREADY CROSSED IT. WE IMMEDIATELY ANSWERED BACK THAT WE WERE SORRY AND WE WOULDN'T MAKE THAT RESTR BUT THAT WE WOULD IMMEDIATELY DSND TO FL240 ASAP. HE SAID OK, BUT THAT HE MAY NEED US TO DO 360 DEGS. HE GAVE US A HEADING AND WE CONTINUED WITH A NORMAL DSCNT AND NO 360 DEGS. POOR MONITORING OF UNS-IM AND NOT PAYING ATTN TO FLYING AIRPLANE. I JUST GOT OUT OF RECURRENT ON HAWKER AND IT WILL DING AND DO IT FOR YOU. MY ATTN NEEDS TO BE FOCUSED ON PLANE AT HAND AND NOT GET COMPLACENT WITH COMMON OCCURRENCES, JUST BECAUSE PLANE IS LIMITED.
