Narrative:

A letter was found in aft lavatory written on paper towel from lavatory. It said '#(%@ you *&$#@%, I will kill' and an ice mallet that was taken from the aft galley was placed on top. Flight attendant #2 found the note during boarding, but did not touch it. She called captain X who called security. We were detained approximately 3 hours while plane, passenger and belongings were searched. Several people were detained. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated that not a lot of people had boarded when the note was found, and they ruled out cabin cleaners because the lavatory had been checked out by the boarding crew. A passenger supervisor did not take the matter seriously, so he picked up the mallet and note and took it out to the podium before the state troopers had got on and dusted for fingerprints. However, the captain took the matter seriously and the plane was searched. The agent upset a lot of people when he made an announcement that they had received a threatening note, but not explaining the threat. Consequently, about 20% of the people, including the 3 suspects, did not get back on the flight after the search. The captain and crew still have not been told of the results of the incident.

Title: CABIN ATTENDANT RPT, S80, BDL-ORD, DEATH THREAT NOTE AGAINST CABIN CREW FOUND IN AFT LAVATORY. PLANE AND PAX SEARCHED. SEVERAL PAX DETAINED.

Narrative: A LETTER WAS FOUND IN AFT LAVATORY WRITTEN ON PAPER TOWEL FROM LAVATORY. IT SAID '#(%@ YOU *&$#@%, I WILL KILL' AND AN ICE MALLET THAT WAS TAKEN FROM THE AFT GALLEY WAS PLACED ON TOP. FLT ATTENDANT #2 FOUND THE NOTE DURING BOARDING, BUT DID NOT TOUCH IT. SHE CALLED CAPT X WHO CALLED SECURITY. WE WERE DETAINED APPROX 3 HRS WHILE PLANE, PAX AND BELONGINGS WERE SEARCHED. SEVERAL PEOPLE WERE DETAINED. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THAT NOT A LOT OF PEOPLE HAD BOARDED WHEN THE NOTE WAS FOUND, AND THEY RULED OUT CABIN CLEANERS BECAUSE THE LAVATORY HAD BEEN CHKED OUT BY THE BOARDING CREW. A PAX SUPVR DID NOT TAKE THE MATTER SERIOUSLY, SO HE PICKED UP THE MALLET AND NOTE AND TOOK IT OUT TO THE PODIUM BEFORE THE STATE TROOPERS HAD GOT ON AND DUSTED FOR FINGERPRINTS. HOWEVER, THE CAPT TOOK THE MATTER SERIOUSLY AND THE PLANE WAS SEARCHED. THE AGENT UPSET A LOT OF PEOPLE WHEN HE MADE AN ANNOUNCEMENT THAT THEY HAD RECEIVED A THREATENING NOTE, BUT NOT EXPLAINING THE THREAT. CONSEQUENTLY, ABOUT 20% OF THE PEOPLE, INCLUDING THE 3 SUSPECTS, DID NOT GET BACK ON THE FLT AFTER THE SEARCH. THE CAPT AND CREW STILL HAVE NOT BEEN TOLD OF THE RESULTS OF THE INCIDENT.
