Narrative:
Reference V198 between mai and cew (ZJX airspace, controller) vectored our flight further north due to close proximity to R2914A. Controller advised this is a recurring problem with all flts. (Our needles were centered.) I measured and the closest passage to R2914A is 4 1/2 mi. FAA needs to design the airway further north -- to allow for wind drift errors in navigation. Some air crew will get violated due to a pitfall in design.

Title: DHC8 CREW CONCERNED OVER CRITICAL NAV AREAS NEAR CEW. WHILE ON AIRWAY, A SMALL NAV ERROR MAY LEAD TO VIOLATION OF RESTR AREA.
Narrative: REF V198 BTWN MAI AND CEW (ZJX AIRSPACE, CTLR) VECTORED OUR FLT FURTHER N DUE TO CLOSE PROX TO R2914A. CTLR ADVISED THIS IS A RECURRING PROB WITH ALL FLTS. (OUR NEEDLES WERE CTRED.) I MEASURED AND THE CLOSEST PASSAGE TO R2914A IS 4 1/2 MI. FAA NEEDS TO DESIGN THE AIRWAY FURTHER N -- TO ALLOW FOR WIND DRIFT ERRORS IN NAV.
