Narrative:

I had airport in sight about 3-4 mi out. Received tower clearance to land on runway 24L. Construction activity on runway 26R contributed to impaired perception of alignment with designated runway. Advised tower of intention to land on 'farthest strip to the left.' I believe tower should have issued instruction to 'go around' at this point. About 1000 ft from threshold, I noticed a bizjet move from taxiway to runway of runway 26L. I passed clear of jet at 75-100 ft AGL, adding some power to do so. I was ready to initiate a go around when the tower cleared me to land on taxiway. After landing, I taxied to tower and reported to ground personnel. Was not requested to visit tower. Gave information for entry onto form but was not asked to sign same. Suggest that runway 25L be repainted, along with its boundaries, markings and numbers -- so it stands out 'like a sore thumb.'

Title: PLT COMPLAINS OF RWY MARKINGS DURING CONSTRUCTION AFTER HE BECOMES CONFUSED AND LANDS ON TXWY.

Narrative: I HAD ARPT IN SIGHT ABOUT 3-4 MI OUT. RECEIVED TWR CLRNC TO LAND ON RWY 24L. CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY ON RWY 26R CONTRIBUTED TO IMPAIRED PERCEPTION OF ALIGNMENT WITH DESIGNATED RWY. ADVISED TWR OF INTENTION TO LAND ON 'FARTHEST STRIP TO THE L.' I BELIEVE TWR SHOULD HAVE ISSUED INSTRUCTION TO 'GO AROUND' AT THIS POINT. ABOUT 1000 FT FROM THRESHOLD, I NOTICED A BIZJET MOVE FROM TXWY TO RWY OF RWY 26L. I PASSED CLR OF JET AT 75-100 FT AGL, ADDING SOME PWR TO DO SO. I WAS READY TO INITIATE A GAR WHEN THE TWR CLRED ME TO LAND ON TXWY. AFTER LNDG, I TAXIED TO TWR AND RPTED TO GND PERSONNEL. WAS NOT REQUESTED TO VISIT TWR. GAVE INFO FOR ENTRY ONTO FORM BUT WAS NOT ASKED TO SIGN SAME. SUGGEST THAT RWY 25L BE REPAINTED, ALONG WITH ITS BOUNDARIES, MARKINGS AND NUMBERS -- SO IT STANDS OUT 'LIKE A SORE THUMB.'
