Narrative:

While approaching gate xa in abq, I found an aircraft parked directly behind gate xa and one parked on gate xb. There is little maneuvering space and little room for error. Discussing this with the station manager, I found this had been done for 2 yrs. The potential is very great to damage an aircraft. If this is the only place to park the overnight aircraft, then the arriving aircraft should be towed in.

Title: SUPER 80 CREW CONCERNED OVER TAXI AND RAMP PROX ISSUES AT ABQ.

Narrative: WHILE APCHING GATE XA IN ABQ, I FOUND AN ACFT PARKED DIRECTLY BEHIND GATE XA AND ONE PARKED ON GATE XB. THERE IS LITTLE MANEUVERING SPACE AND LITTLE ROOM FOR ERROR. DISCUSSING THIS WITH THE STATION MGR, I FOUND THIS HAD BEEN DONE FOR 2 YRS. THE POTENTIAL IS VERY GREAT TO DAMAGE AN ACFT. IF THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE TO PARK THE OVERNIGHT ACFT, THEN THE ARRIVING ACFT SHOULD BE TOWED IN.
