Narrative:

Set takeoff power, runway 27 san. Approximately 80 KTS, loud bang. Lost left engine, aborted takeoff, taxied clear of runway. Called for fire truck. Left engine billowing smoke. Make preparation to evacuate/evacuation right side of aircraft. Fire trucks arrived, controled fire contained in engine cowl. Never got a fire warning in cockpit. Elected not to evacuate/evacuation passenger. After everything secured, right engine was restarted and aircraft taxied back to gate with no further incident.
