Narrative:

About 15 mins after departure, we received an update for our takeoff numbers. It changed our taxi fuel burn from 300 pounds to 800 pounds and stated 'ensure all taxi fuel is burned before departure.' since we didn't receive this until after takeoff, we may have taken off overweight. (The overweight was not a structural limit, but a performance limit for the departure runway.) apparently we received an ACARS message prior to takeoff stating there was an updated release. We were busy during taxi and didn't see the ACARS message. My lack of experience with the ACARS may have caused us to miss the message.

Title: ACR DISCOVERS AFTER TKOF THAT THEY HAVE MISSED A MESSAGE THAT THE TKOF WT HAS CHANGED.

Narrative: ABOUT 15 MINS AFTER DEP, WE RECEIVED AN UPDATE FOR OUR TKOF NUMBERS. IT CHANGED OUR TAXI FUEL BURN FROM 300 LBS TO 800 LBS AND STATED 'ENSURE ALL TAXI FUEL IS BURNED BEFORE DEP.' SINCE WE DIDN'T RECEIVE THIS UNTIL AFTER TKOF, WE MAY HAVE TAKEN OFF OVERWT. (THE OVERWT WAS NOT A STRUCTURAL LIMIT, BUT A PERFORMANCE LIMIT FOR THE DEP RWY.) APPARENTLY WE RECEIVED AN ACARS MESSAGE PRIOR TO TKOF STATING THERE WAS AN UPDATED RELEASE. WE WERE BUSY DURING TAXI AND DIDN'T SEE THE ACARS MESSAGE. MY LACK OF EXPERIENCE WITH THE ACARS MAY HAVE CAUSED US TO MISS THE MESSAGE.
