Narrative:

Tus departure control cleared our flight to deviate for WX. Departure control handoff to ZAB late and ZAB frequency incorrect. Once correct ZAB frequency contacted, ZAB controller asked us to turn north because of restr airspace penetration. We declined and said unable due to extensive thunderstorm line. ZAB instructed us to squawk emergency and then handed off to next ZAB controller. When able, we turned north to clear restr airspace.
