Narrative:

Captain audio panel failed on departure. Resulted in situation the same as stuck microphone. Took at least 20 mins to troubleshoot problem, during which time the majority was without radio contact. Squawked transponder code 7600 and used transponder identify to respond to center until we could isolate problem.

Narrative: CAPT AUDIO PANEL FAILED ON DEP. RESULTED IN SIT THE SAME AS STUCK MIKE. TOOK AT LEAST 20 MINS TO TROUBLESHOOT PROB, DURING WHICH TIME THE MAJORITY WAS WITHOUT RADIO CONTACT. SQUAWKED XPONDER CODE 7600 AND USED XPONDER IDENT TO RESPOND TO CTR UNTIL WE COULD ISOLATE PROB.
