Narrative:

During climb, first officer was hand flying the aircraft to assigned altitude of 10000 ft. Shortly after the 1000 ft chime, the captain made note of the fact that after shutdown, the APU door had not closed and that we may have to restart the APU. The first officer looked at the mfd to appraise the situation, during which time the aircraft was flown to 10350 ft. Corrective action was taken and no conflict was noted.

Title: CL65 PLT OVERSHOOTS CLRED ALT WHEN DISTR BY APU DOOR PROB.

Narrative: DURING CLB, FO WAS HAND FLYING THE ACFT TO ASSIGNED ALT OF 10000 FT. SHORTLY AFTER THE 1000 FT CHIME, THE CAPT MADE NOTE OF THE FACT THAT AFTER SHUTDOWN, THE APU DOOR HAD NOT CLOSED AND THAT WE MAY HAVE TO RESTART THE APU. THE FO LOOKED AT THE MFD TO APPRAISE THE SIT, DURING WHICH TIME THE ACFT WAS FLOWN TO 10350 FT. CORRECTIVE ACTION WAS TAKEN AND NO CONFLICT WAS NOTED.
