Narrative:

Tailskid impact upon firm landing bna. First officer flying from dfw to bna. Approach was made in VFR conditions to landing. Very firm landing, and impact of tailskid. At 1000 ft aircraft was on GS and on speed. At 500 ft again aircraft was in the slot, on speed and GS at 20 ft I noticed 10 KT speed reduction and then a firm landing. Also runway 20R slopes up at approach end. The first officer was in fact on his first leg after IOE. Total time for first officer approximately 26 hours. Might have been a factor due to new equipment and low time.
