Narrative:

We had an extensive off gate ground delay for the flight followed by a reroute. New route approved by company dispatch and myself. However as we heard albany center issued us a holding clearance which would result in insufficient fuel to proceed to bos and to alternate and reserves fuel. I requested clearance to alternate, and when equal distance to bos and alternate (hartford) ZBW offered direct to original destination, which I accepted with minimum fuel declaration. We landed with 1200 pounds more than 45 mins reserve fuel, but less than fuel needed to fly to alternate and reserve. Bos WX was VFR.

Title: ACR DECLARES MINIMUM FUEL WHEN GIVEN HOLDING. ATC CLRS THEM ON TO DEST INSTEAD.

Narrative: WE HAD AN EXTENSIVE OFF GATE GND DELAY FOR THE FLT FOLLOWED BY A REROUTE. NEW RTE APPROVED BY COMPANY DISPATCH AND MYSELF. WE LANDED WITH 1200 LBS MORE THAN 45 MINS RESERVE FUEL, BUT LESS THAN FUEL NEEDED TO FLY TO ALTERNATE AND RESERVE. BOS WX WAS VFR.
