Narrative:

Holding short of runway 17R at taxiway ej, first officer read back to tower 'cleared across runway 17R.' readback was not challenged by tower controller, but was intended for company flight holding short of runway 17C at taxiway ej. After mistakenly crossing the active runway, I was advised of the mistake by tower. The main cause of mistake was both my and first officer's belief the call was for us. A possible contributing factor was first officer's foreign accent which may have prevented tower controller from catching the mistaken readback intended for our company flight.
