Narrative:

Departing from oakland, I followed instruction from ATC to avoid traffic -- heading 080 degrees, climb 4500 ft. I am not sure that I was cleared to class B sfo, when I realized, in my climb, that I could have been in class B, by checking my altitude and DME. I was at 17 DME, but above 3000 ft. Since traffic was busy, instructions were confusing and I wasn't sure of my position.
