Narrative:

XA28, frequency 135.37, FL230, ZFW, 40 mi west jen. Aircraft at FL230 assigned 300 KTS, heading to join 039 degree radial north of jen. Center gave us speed of 280 KTS over hurst. First officer interpreted this as a descent clearance. Began descent for 11000 ft. Aircraft descended to FL224 before we were able to stop descent and correct back to FL230 ft. No conflict.
