Narrative:

On departure from msp at 12000 ft and climbing, flight attendant advised crew a safety strap with a metal buckle was hanging outside left rear galley door and was banging against outside of door. 3 mins later, while flight crew was discussing possible return to msp with dispatch, metal buckle separated from strap. No engine or airframe damage was suspected and flight continued normally.

Narrative: ON DEP FROM MSP AT 12000 FT AND CLBING, FLT ATTENDANT ADVISED CREW A SAFETY STRAP WITH A METAL BUCKLE WAS HANGING OUTSIDE L REAR GALLEY DOOR AND WAS BANGING AGAINST OUTSIDE OF DOOR. 3 MINS LATER, WHILE FLC WAS DISCUSSING POSSIBLE RETURN TO MSP WITH DISPATCH, METAL BUCKLE SEPARATED FROM STRAP. NO ENG OR AIRFRAME DAMAGE WAS SUSPECTED AND FLT CONTINUED NORMALLY.
