Narrative:

On jun/xa/99 approximately AB00 hours, aircraft (air carrier) xyz arrived in ZZZ, missing the #1 main wheel/tire. As of jun/xa, AB00 hours, the wheel assembly had not been located. The aircraft arrived from abc. I was the last mechanic to install the #1 main tire on may/xy/99 approximately BA00 hours. To the best of my knowledge, I had properly installed the aircraft tire to maintenance manual standards.

Title: A DC9-50 ARRIVED AT ZZZ WITH THE L OUTBOARD WHEEL AND TIRE MISSING CAUSED BY ALLEGED IMPROPER INSTALLATION. WHEEL AND TIRE ASSEMBLY REPLACED 8 DAYS PRIOR TO INCIDENT.

I WAS THE LAST MECH TO INSTALL THE #1 MAIN TIRE ON MAY/XY/99 APPROX BA00 HRS. TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE, I HAD PROPERLY INSTALLED THE ACFT TIRE TO MAINT MANUAL STANDARDS.
