Narrative:

The aircraft (BE58) that I was flying veered off the runway causing a propeller strike on one of the runway lights. I kept my approach speed at 120 KTS. On the short final I was trying to slow the aircraft to the blue line, 100 KTS on the final approach. The VASI lights looked favorable on landing. I seemed to float a little longer than I expected and the aircraft did skip down the runway a few times. I applied intermittent braking to slow the aircraft down. Upon that action, I might have locked on the brakes causing the tire to blow out, which in turn caused the aircraft to veer to the left. The aircraft ended up on the left edge of the runway.

Title: A BEECH BARON PLT, LNDG AT OGA, BLEW A TIRE WHICH CAUSED THE ACFT'S PROP TO STRIKE A RWY EDGE LIGHT.

Narrative: THE ACFT (BE58) THAT I WAS FLYING VEERED OFF THE RWY CAUSING A PROP STRIKE ON ONE OF THE RWY LIGHTS. I KEPT MY APCH SPD AT 120 KTS. ON THE SHORT FINAL I WAS TRYING TO SLOW THE ACFT TO THE BLUE LINE, 100 KTS ON THE FINAL APCH. THE VASI LIGHTS LOOKED FAVORABLE ON LNDG. I SEEMED TO FLOAT A LITTLE LONGER THAN I EXPECTED AND THE ACFT DID SKIP DOWN THE RWY A FEW TIMES. I APPLIED INTERMITTENT BRAKING TO SLOW THE ACFT DOWN. UPON THAT ACTION, I MIGHT HAVE LOCKED ON THE BRAKES CAUSING THE TIRE TO BLOW OUT, WHICH IN TURN CAUSED THE ACFT TO VEER TO THE L. THE ACFT ENDED UP ON THE L EDGE OF THE RWY.
