Narrative:

Winds estimated 280 degrees at 15 KTS. Taking off runway 36 from freeway (woo), md. Drifted 1.5 NM in the southeast area of bwi class B airspace. Problem arose from being unfamiliar with the area, poor planning on initial direction after takeoff. My plan was to fly the VFR corridor northwest to gaithersburg (gai), md, then to lancaster (lns), PA, to my home base in albany (alb), ny. Contributing factors were the stiff winds, moderate turbulence and distractions with my passenger. Discover mistake seeing jet landing at bwi. Immediately made 180 degrees, looked at sectional and remained clear of class B airspace.
