Narrative:

We were departing runway 22 at evv. We told the tower we were ready for takeoff and would need 30 seconds in position. (The 30 seconds was needed for a 'first flight of the day' engine check.) tower cleared us into position as we requested. After completing our first flight check, we started our takeoff roll when tower told us 'cancel takeoff clearance, you were told taxi into position and hold.' we stopped our takeoff. Tower told us to make a 180 degree turn on the runway and return to end, then we were cleared for takeoff. There was another aircraft departing on runway 18 at the time.
