Narrative:

On ILS approach to runway 26L at ont, we were cleared to cross petis NDB at or above 4200 ft MSL, cleared ILS, runway 26L approach. At petis, at 4200 ft MSL, the TCASII gave a TA, immediately followed by an RA that said 'climb, climb.' the TCASII showed traffic 100 ft directly below our aircraft. Until that time there was no indication of traffic at that location. We immediately climbed 400 ft and the TCASII gave us 'clear of traffic.' we notified ont tower and he gave us 'cleared to land runway 26L,' but did not acknowledge our TCASII call or address the fact that there was any traffic in our area. The approach and landing were uneventful.
