Narrative:

I was assigned to deice aircraft xyz MD80 at #1 truck bucket which is responsible for communication with flight crew. Truck driver advised me he is having trouble with his radio and he advised the #2 deicing truck crew to perform communication with flight crew. He also talked to flight crew via a regular headset, then we completed deicing of the left side of aircraft. Problems: 1) apparently the #2 deicing crew did not communicate with flight crew. 2) old radio equipment which is used seasonally is susceptible to moisture problems. 3) I have not had recurrent training since 1996.
