Narrative:

As power was pushed for takeoff, the audible flap warning came on and I pulled power off and informed tower we would need to clear the runway to check out one of our system. The tower asked if we needed any help and I said no, that we were just going to have to recycle our flaps and rechk the system. We cleared the runway, recycled the flaps and then rechked the warning system several times. The system worked fine and no problems were noted. We told tower we were ready for takeoff again and they put us back in line. This took about 4 mins. We took the aircraft from fll to dfw and the problem did not occur again. Since the event took place just as power was applied, I did not consider it an abort, though I will in the future.
