Narrative:

On departure in busy airspace, copilot (PNF) tried to contact departure control and was informed that wrong frequency selected. This became a distraction to PF due to business of airspace and proximity to ewr. Aircraft overshot altitude selected by 200-300 ft. This was corrected almost immediately. PF must always let PNF handle PNF duties at busy times. Someone needs to fly the airplane. Fatigue was a major contributing factor for both pilots.
