Narrative:

I was the first officer on a pilot training and corporate communications flight. I was specifically informed by the captain that the flight was approved by the flight manager for a touch-and-go at dab airport and a fly-by at spruce creek airport, and that the necessary coordination with ATC and dispatch had taken place. I expressed my concern to the captain about the VFR portion of the flight. He informed me that he would stay in communication with dab approach for VFR flight following. Also, spruce creek airport would be closed so as to preclude light aircraft operations. I requested the 2 deadheading pilots to act as traffic watch during the VFR portion of the flight and coupled with approach control's assistance we maintained traffic separation. Supplemental information from acn 428916: during pilot training flight, I was given permission by the fleet manager to do fly-by at the spruce creek airport. I personally contacted ATC and the local airport auths. I informed them with complete details of the trip. Everyone was pleased with the planned operation. The morning of the flight I contacted air carrier dispatch and advised the dispatcher of my intentions and requested he include a 30 min delay at dab in the remarks section of the flight plan. The day of the flight everything occurred exactly as planned. As I descended into dab, approach control advised me that they were aware of the planned event and that everyone involved knew what was to occur. I flew the profile exactly as described above. At no time did I feel that the aircraft was operated in an unsafe manner nor did I feel there was any threat or danger to any person or property on the ground.
