Narrative:

On about 20 mi final, we were cleared for a visual approach to runway 25L lax. We were not told to contact tower. We did not switch to tower at the OM as per usual and did not question approach for a frequency change. We did not notice that we were still on approach's frequency and no further communication occurred between approach and us. We landed on runway 25L without a landing clearance from tower. There was no conflict between us and any other aircraft. Landing occurred without incident. Upon landing rollout, we noticed approach's frequency in our communication #1 radio, realized what had transpired and immediately contacted tower. We were then cleared by tower to taxi across runway 25R, contact ground control and taxi to the gate.
