Narrative:

My aircraft was level at 1000 ft MSL. Our position was 6 NM west of runway 9R at mia international. We were within class east airspace below mia's class B. Our heading was approximately ssw (190-195 degrees). We were in preparation for landing at tmb. Near miss occurred with DC9, fokker 100 type aircraft on approach to mia's runway 9R. Distances provided on reverse side are rough estimates at best. No evasive action was immediately taken nor was it required. Mia's class B airspace base begins at 1500 ft MSL in our position. Said jet aircraft appeared to be on approach, below class B airspace.
