Narrative:

While on the qball arrival (approximately 20-30 NM northwest of cgi) ZKC reported VFR traffic at 2 O'clock. Traffic was indicated on TCASII and finally visually acquired. The traffic appeared to parallel our flight path while descending 300 ft below our altitude. The traffic then turned toward us initiating the TCASII RA to climb. TA/RA action was initiated at 10000 ft and terminated at 10600 ft. We cleared the traffic and began descent back to 10000 ft and continued descent to 8000 ft per crossing clearance. It also needs to be mentioned that our RA action also caused an aircraft inbound overflying us to climb as well.

Title: FLC OF JETSTREAM 4100 RECEIVES TCASII TFC ALERT FOLLOWED BY TCASII RA NEAR CGI.

Narrative: WHILE ON THE QBALL ARR (APPROX 20-30 NM NW OF CGI) ZKC RPTED VFR TFC AT 2 O'CLOCK. TFC WAS INDICATED ON TCASII AND FINALLY VISUALLY ACQUIRED. THE TFC APPEARED TO PARALLEL OUR FLT PATH WHILE DSNDING 300 FT BELOW OUR ALT. THE TFC THEN TURNED TOWARD US INITIATING THE TCASII RA TO CLB. TA/RA ACTION WAS INITIATED AT 10000 FT AND TERMINATED AT 10600 FT. WE CLRED THE TFC AND BEGAN DSCNT BACK TO 10000 FT AND CONTINUED DSCNT TO 8000 FT PER XING CLRNC. IT ALSO NEEDS TO BE MENTIONED THAT OUR RA ACTION ALSO CAUSED AN ACFT INBOUND OVERFLYING US TO CLB AS WELL.
