Narrative:

Made a normal takeoff out of bzn after receiving IFR clearance from ZLC on 132.40. Made advisories on unicom. Later on climb out we heard ZLC hand an airplane over to bzn tower. We were unaware that a tower was in operation at bzn. No NOTAMS or advisories were published stating that the bzn tower was now operational. We knew they were planning to open the tower soon but had heard the operational date would be sometime in march 1999. To make long story short, we took off out of bzn without contacting the tower which apparently is now in service.
