Narrative:

I was flying the leg from north platte, northeast, to grand island, northeast, on the evening of jan/thu/99. It was about 1000 ft overcast with 3-4 mi visibility with light snow. I received approach clearance about 25 mi out from ZMP. At the time I received clearance I was informed that an air carrier was right behind me coming over from kearney, northeast. The winds were from the south so I was using the VOR runway 13 circle to runway 17 approach. Approximately 10 mi out, center had me change to advisory frequency and told me to cancel as soon as possible because the air carrier was right behind me. After I descended below the cloud deck, I saw the airport about 2-3 mi out and called minneapolis back and canceled IFR. I circled for runway 17 and after rounding out I heard a scraping sound and immediately pulled back on the yoke and looked over and saw that the landing gear was not down. I applied power, became airborne and did a teardrop for runway 35. After landing, I inspected the aircraft and found only minor damage to a couple of antennas on the bottom of the airplane. There was no damage to the skin of the airplane nor to the propellers.
