Narrative:

I was involved in aircraft xyz return to field for a right wing leading edge overheat. My involvement was limited to installing a pneumatic Y duct aft of the area where defect was found. I did not work on the specific part which created the return to field. During company's interview, it was found the job card did not require a leak check after complete restoration of valves and ducting.

Title: A B747-100 RETURNED TO THE FIELD DUE TO A WING LEADING EDGE OVERHEAT WARNING CAUSED BY AN IMPROPERLY INSTALLED WING ANTI-ICE PNEUMATIC DUCT.

Narrative: I WAS INVOLVED IN ACFT XYZ RETURN TO FIELD FOR A R WING LEADING EDGE OVERHEAT. MY INVOLVEMENT WAS LIMITED TO INSTALLING A PNEUMATIC Y DUCT AFT OF THE AREA WHERE DEFECT WAS FOUND. I DID NOT WORK ON THE SPECIFIC PART WHICH CREATED THE RETURN TO FIELD. DURING COMPANY'S INTERVIEW, IT WAS FOUND THE JOB CARD DID NOT REQUIRE A LEAK CHK AFTER COMPLETE RESTORATION OF VALVES AND DUCTING.
