Narrative:

Taxi commenced from terminal ramp to taxiway H1 down taxiway H to runway 4. We were progressively asked to 'hold short of' then 'cleared to cross' runways 12L/30R, 12R/30L, 17/35. Approaching runway 4, ground asked us to contact tower when ready for departure on runway 4. From tower's vantage point, he seemed to think we crossed the runway 4 hold line. He then asked us to cross runway 4 and do a 180 degree turn on taxiway G. There was no traffic conflict at any time. If I was across the hold line, it would be attributed to the glaring sun and cockpit workload, ie, taxi and takeoff checks after a rather demanding taxi due to first time taxi at this airport in daylight.

Title: AN ACR FLC APPARENTLY CROSSED THE HOLD LINE FOR RWY 4.

Narrative: TAXI COMMENCED FROM TERMINAL RAMP TO TXWY H1 DOWN TXWY H TO RWY 4. WE WERE PROGRESSIVELY ASKED TO 'HOLD SHORT OF' THEN 'CLRED TO CROSS' RWYS 12L/30R, 12R/30L, 17/35. APCHING RWY 4, GND ASKED US TO CONTACT TWR WHEN READY FOR DEP ON RWY 4. FROM TWR'S VANTAGE POINT, HE SEEMED TO THINK WE CROSSED THE RWY 4 HOLD LINE. HE THEN ASKED US TO CROSS RWY 4 AND DO A 180 DEG TURN ON TXWY G. THERE WAS NO TFC CONFLICT AT ANY TIME. IF I WAS ACROSS THE HOLD LINE, IT WOULD BE ATTRIBUTED TO THE GLARING SUN AND COCKPIT WORKLOAD, IE, TAXI AND TKOF CHKS AFTER A RATHER DEMANDING TAXI DUE TO FIRST TIME TAXI AT THIS ARPT IN DAYLIGHT.
