Narrative:

Level at 6000 ft MSL the first officer and I got a warning light advising us of a possible bleed air duct leak. We followed the appropriate emergency checklist and made a precautionary engine shutdown on the #2 engine as the checklist prescribes. We declared an emergency and were given an appropriate response by dfw approach and tower. We encountered no other problems through the approach and landing and taxied to the gate.

Title: E120 CREW HAD A 'BLEED AIR DUCT LEAK' WARNING.

Narrative: LEVEL AT 6000 FT MSL THE FO AND I GOT A WARNING LIGHT ADVISING US OF A POSSIBLE BLEED AIR DUCT LEAK. WE FOLLOWED THE APPROPRIATE EMER CHKLIST AND MADE A PRECAUTIONARY ENG SHUTDOWN ON THE #2 ENG AS THE CHKLIST PRESCRIBES. WE DECLARED AN EMER AND WERE GIVEN AN APPROPRIATE RESPONSE BY DFW APCH AND TWR. WE ENCOUNTERED NO OTHER PROBS THROUGH THE APCH AND LNDG AND TAXIED TO THE GATE.
