Narrative:

Egpws terrain warning. While on radar vectors off the kayoh arrival into lgb, we received a GPWS terrain warning. We were at 7000 ft MSL off the sli 082 degree radial, 25 DME at XA48Z. The aircraft was in level flight at the time of the terrain warning. The egpws was not being displayed on the navigation display. A climb was started and the terrain warning stopped at approximately 7300 ft MSL. Socal approach was notified of the GPWS climb and we then returned to 7000 ft MSL with no further incidents. Supplemental information from acn 423693: after being vectored off the kayoh arrival into lgb at 7000 ft MSL, received a GPWS 'terrain' warning. Executed a climb to 7300 ft MSL to clear the warning. Returned to 7000 ft MSL and continued to an uneventful landing. We had an egpws aircraft. Location: sli 082 degree radial, 25 DME. Socal approach was informed of our maneuver.
