Narrative:

During takeoff from a private uncharted airport (eakin field, seneca, PA -- a private grass strip). The owner of the property and I landed at eakin field to the north, uphill. We then turned around. The northernmost end was rough and had cement blocks for an automatic parking area. Therefore, I decided to taxi down the strip 200 ft before beginning the takeoff. During the takeoff, the aircraft hit a rise that caused premature liftoff. The aircraft then settled back to the grass. I let the aircraft continue to accelerate, then lifted off again. I did not have sufficient airspeed to climb, so I leveled off at about 50-100 ft AGL to accelerate to climb speed. After accelerating, I began a normal climb and turned to the right, wbound toward our destination. It is my understanding that neighbors complained about me for low flying, but as stated above, it was necessary to level off for safety.

Title: AN SMA PLT RPT ON A NEIGHBORHOOD COMPLAINT OF LOW FLT NEAR THEIR HOMES FROM A PVT GRASS STRIP. RPTR CITES A RWY PROB AND LOW AIRSPD FOR IMPROPER CLBOUT.

Narrative: DURING TKOF FROM A PVT UNCHARTED ARPT (EAKIN FIELD, SENECA, PA -- A PVT GRASS STRIP). THE OWNER OF THE PROPERTY AND I LANDED AT EAKIN FIELD TO THE N, UPHILL. WE THEN TURNED AROUND. THE NORTHERNMOST END WAS ROUGH AND HAD CEMENT BLOCKS FOR AN AUTO PARKING AREA. THEREFORE, I DECIDED TO TAXI DOWN THE STRIP 200 FT BEFORE BEGINNING THE TKOF. DURING THE TKOF, THE ACFT HIT A RISE THAT CAUSED PREMATURE LIFTOFF. THE ACFT THEN SETTLED BACK TO THE GRASS. I LET THE ACFT CONTINUE TO ACCELERATE, THEN LIFTED OFF AGAIN. I DID NOT HAVE SUFFICIENT AIRSPD TO CLB, SO I LEVELED OFF AT ABOUT 50-100 FT AGL TO ACCELERATE TO CLB SPD. AFTER ACCELERATING, I BEGAN A NORMAL CLB AND TURNED TO THE R, WBOUND TOWARD OUR DEST. IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT NEIGHBORS COMPLAINED ABOUT ME FOR LOW FLYING, BUT AS STATED ABOVE, IT WAS NECESSARY TO LEVEL OFF FOR SAFETY.
