Narrative:

I made a decision to hand fly the ILS runway 27 at mem. My first officer was talking to mem approach control on VHF #1. They cleared us for the approach to runway 27, but they never instructed us to call the tower. The first officer never called the tower and I did not notice that he forgot to call. We had the runway in sight by 1000 ft and we landed without incident. After we cleared the runway we called ground control and were cleared to taxi to the gate. We received no comment from ATC about landing with no clearance.
