Narrative:
As I was taking off at far airport runway 17, just as I was rotating I felt a shimmy up front, so I flew around the pattern and came in for a landing. I set the main wheels down and when I set the nosewheel down I felt it shimmy, then it sent the plane off the runway to the right. I got out and checked the nosewheel and found that the tie rod end was not attached. The nosewheel steering ball broke. So I filed a report with the FAA at fargo.
