Narrative:

Atl-mci flying tyger 3 arrival into mci. Clearance to cross tyger intersection at 12000 ft. First officer, PF, put 12000 ft in altitude alert window. Descent was initiated to 12000 ft. We became busy with approach preparations and WX avoidance issues and the first officer inadvertently leveled the aircraft at 14000 ft. I was not aware that he was not still descending to 12000 ft, and I noticed we passed tyger at 14000 ft, deviating from clearance. Because of our workload at the time, I was trying to prioritize my PNF duties, and failed to remain adequately aware of our descent profile. Fatigue was a factor in that we had an early departure that day, adequate rest the previous night was attempted but was difficult to obtain.
