Narrative:

We got a faulty indication on TCASII concerning the aircraft in front of us (also on approach for runway 30R stl). We slowed down to avoid it. This apparently caused a go around for the aircraft following us. Approach control chewed us out for it. I explained that we got busy with the TCASII and was not able to tell him in time. (Besides I think he had us packed too close on the approach.)
