Narrative:
I departed ahn knowing the minimums were too low for a 'for hire' operation but did not believe they applied to part 91. I thought a 0-0 was legal if it was not for hire. I called the local FSDO and got conflicting answers whether or not I violated a regulation. I will do more research.

Title: PLT OF AN SMT TWIN TOOK OFF SUCCESSFULLY IN FOG ON A FAR PART 91 OP AND SUBSEQUENTLY QUESTIONED WITH FAA FSDO IF HE WAS LEGAL TO DO SO. HE RECEIVED MIXED ANSWER.
