Narrative:

I was flying. Thought we were cleared to 3000 ft. At 2500 ft captain said 'altitude' and took yoke to pitch plane back to our assigned initial altitude of 2000 ft. I took the airplane and throttled back to 250 KTS (we never went over 250 KTS) and leveled at 2000 ft. I need to be certain of my initial altitude especially when it is an altitude that we get to very quickly in a falcon 10. In the future I will be certain to brief our initial altitude before takeoff.
