Narrative:
I was descending the aircraft intending to level at 10000 ft but captain initiated a conversation at about 10700 ft and ATC asked some questions. I found the airplane at 300 KTS at 9700 ft. Leveled and slowed as soon as possible. Contributing factor: poor sleep the night before. The contributing distrs were only minor.

Title: DUE TO FATIGUE AND DISTR FLC EXCEEDED 250 KTS BELOW 10000 FT AND FLEW THROUGH ASSIGNED ALT.
Narrative: I WAS DSNDING THE ACFT INTENDING TO LEVEL AT 10000 FT BUT CAPT INITIATED A CONVERSATION AT ABOUT 10700 FT AND ATC ASKED SOME QUESTIONS. I FOUND THE AIRPLANE AT 300 KTS AT 9700 FT. LEVELED AND SLOWED ASAP. CONTRIBUTING FACTOR: POOR SLEEP THE NIGHT BEFORE. THE CONTRIBUTING DISTRS WERE ONLY MINOR.
