Narrative:

Entered hold over ded after completing a VOR approach. Daytona approach was controling agency. No call on unicom was made by jump aircraft nor did ATC advise of jumpers away. Ceiling was 3100 ft broken over ded. First indication of jumpers was a blue parachute as it deployed at 3000 ft in front of our aircraft. We had been in the hold for 10 mins and our 3RD complete turn. Several more chutes appeared above us and I made an immediate hard turn left away from the ded airport. I have experienced one other situation over ded where jumpers came through scattered/broken clouds.
