Narrative:

Diverting to orlando, after receiving notification of a suspicious box on board the aircraft from a denied boarding passenger, we were cleared to 8000 ft. We descended to 7600 ft before correcting toward 8000 ft. Prior to making any correction ATC cleared us to 6000 ft. There were no aircraft conflicts. Contributing factors: 1) concern about the suspicious box on board. 2) aircraft landing weight. 3) the landing runway at mco was changed several times before receiving a final assignment. 4) I was confused about the cleared altitude.
