Narrative:

Flight attendants #2, #3, and #4 were in the rear of the aircraft preparing for our final beverage service. The cabin felt warm. #3 flight attendant tried to reach the cockpit on the interphone. After several attempts, her call was answered. At this time she was informed of a problem and we would be landing in rdu. #2 flight attendant called #1 flight attendant and informed her. Moments later she came back to the rear of the aircraft and told us we had lost an engine, we were to clean up the cabin, get our safety manuals and prepare for landing. We were approximately 10-15 mins out. After the cabin area was all secure, #3 flight attendant and I sat up front and reviewed the planned emergency procedures. The captain at this time made a PA and told the passenger we had a problem with an engine and we had lost a fuel pump. We would be landing in just a few mins in rdu. He told them we would have a normal landing. #1 flight attendant was never told to do the emergency checklist (we had been told to have them at hand just in case we needed them). Landing was normal, we deplaned, discussed the situation with the captain and first officer. We learned that he was able to start the engine back up for landing by passing the fuel from the other side. We learned that we had left with 1 fuel pump down and lost the second in-flight. I think the entire crew did a great job. We may have been nervous at times, but I feel everybody was ready and capable of carrying out any procedure that may have been necessary. Supplemental information from acn 414234: upon arrival in rdu, passenger were met and taken care of. Flight attendants left in terminal. Captain and first officer sent to hotel. We flight attendants left at airport waiting to be reassigned. No one talked to us about a thing!
