Narrative:

I was informed yesterday, aug/xa/98 around XA00, that there were concerns with an airworthiness directive xyzyz that I audited in oct/92, concerning the A300 evacuate/evacuation slides. The airworthiness directive paperwork package was in compliance with the xyz airlines engineering procedure manual, as far as the accomplishment procedure and the verification. Unfortunately, there was a component that needed to be modified with a new part and re-idented with new a dash number as part of the manufacturer's service bulletin. This component was not included in the issued paperwork to be modified in accordance with the service bulletin. Checking the airworthiness directive accomplishment paperwork package, it was impossible for me to determine if the repair facility had accomplished all detailed steps in the service bulletin and in accordance with our engineering specification order. We can only verify that the slide assembly is idented with the new part number which reflects the service bulletin corporation.

Narrative: I WAS INFORMED YESTERDAY, AUG/XA/98 AROUND XA00, THAT THERE WERE CONCERNS WITH AN AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE XYZYZ THAT I AUDITED IN OCT/92, CONCERNING THE A300 EVAC SLIDES. THE AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE PAPERWORK PACKAGE WAS IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE XYZ AIRLINES ENGINEERING PROC MANUAL, AS FAR AS THE ACCOMPLISHMENT PROC AND THE VERIFICATION. UNFORTUNATELY, THERE WAS A COMPONENT THAT NEEDED TO BE MODIFIED WITH A NEW PART AND RE-IDENTED WITH NEW A DASH NUMBER AS PART OF THE MANUFACTURER'S SVC BULLETIN. THIS COMPONENT WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE ISSUED PAPERWORK TO BE MODIFIED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SVC BULLETIN. CHKING THE AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE ACCOMPLISHMENT PAPERWORK PACKAGE, IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO DETERMINE IF THE REPAIR FACILITY HAD ACCOMPLISHED ALL DETAILED STEPS IN THE SVC BULLETIN AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH OUR ENGINEERING SPEC ORDER. WE CAN ONLY VERIFY THAT THE SLIDE ASSEMBLY IS IDENTED WITH THE NEW PART NUMBER WHICH REFLECTS THE SVC BULLETIN CORPORATION.
