Narrative:
The ASR radar at bdl has been failing for 4 days in a row. We were able to use cenrap -- which is center radar. With cenrap we have no WX information on radar, no conflict alert, no MSA warning. This cenrap situation has a lot of coasting targets -- that is when you lose the actual target for a number of sweeps. We had to cancel practice approachs in the bdl airspace. The FAA needs to replace the cable from the ASR-9 to the TRACON.
